For facilities with extensive refrigeration requirements,
refrigeration costs can easily account for up to 50% of the
total energy bill.
As operations such as food stores, supermarkets and warehouses
are discovering, the installation of hy|save refrigeration
systems can significantly increase the energy efficiency and
capacity of conventional direct-expansion refrigeration systems-
well above that of standard, industry accepted systems.
As electric utility deregulation looms, there is no better
time to fine-tune your existing commercial refrigeration for
peak operating efficiency.
Non-OEM- specific hy|save refrigeration units can be retrofitted
easily on your existing compressors.
Floating Head Pressure Technology
hy|save Liquid delivery System (LDS).
Improving Refrigeration Dynamics For Peak Efficiency.
Patented hy|save refrigeration technology provides the most
diverse means currently available for increased system efficiency.
The formation of vapour or "flash gas" in the liquid
refrigerant line is a major cause of inefficiency in the vapour
compression type refrigeration cycle. Traditional cooling
systems counteract flash gas formation by using elevated head
pressures, which can prove costly in terms of energy use,
operating efficiencies and maintenance/repair downtime.
The hy|save Liquid Delivery System (LDS) employs a specially
designed liquid refrigerant pump to provide solid delivery
of liquid refrigerant to the expansion valves.
Pumping liquid refrigerant is significantly more efficient
than using elevated compressor head pressures. Pump pressure
subcools the refrigerant by increasing the pressure in the
liquid line which helps to ensure quality liquid refrigerant
will reach the expansion valves.
The compressor no longer needs to work hard to maintain design
head pressures which can now be "floated" with the
ambient temperature.
Saving 30% to 50% Annually
